After reading nothing but great reviews about this documentary, I went to go check it out at film streams today. “The Interrupters” basically covers the gang violence epidemic in Chicago that most Chicagoans won’t hear about from their cozy Lincoln Park lofts and how a group of mediators (named Ceasefire) attempt to stop violent revenge that perpetuates the system. Last semester, I received my mediation certification through the law school…after watching this documentary I think I am going to complete the additional hours to becomes fully certified.
